ART MANIFESTO
Humans were/are created in the IMAGE of the Creator [IMAGO DEI]. The ancient Hebrew scriptures say that man was created in the IMAGE OF GOD. [Genesis 1:27-28] Both male and female in the image of God, the very likeness of the Uncreated-Creator. By nature we are CREATIVE just as HE is creative, yet often in life we tend to run from this creative nature, pursuing something more ‘reasonable’ with our time.
My heart as an artist is to return to that place of being creative by nature and to bring glory to the Creator [GLORIA DEI] through various creations. Whether word, paint, picture, sculpture...etc. Honestly I am more concerned with the creative process rather than the end product. It is through creativity that we change the world. From the IMAGO DEI to the GLORIA DEI -- this is my simple complex goal.
